FAQ

Common questions

How many generations back can descent go?

There is no generation limit, but the chain must be unbroken and documented, and no ancestor may have lost citizenship before the next generation was born.

What usually breaks the chain?

Naturalisation abroad before 1951 and service in a foreign army are the two most common causes. We check this before any work starts.

Do I need to speak Polish or travel to Poland?

No. The entire procedure is handled remotely, in English, on your behalf.
